Recently, with the ongoing issues, I've seen a significant slowdown. I'm paying for 8 Mbps but now only get 1 Mbps upload and 10 kbps download. Do you face the same situation? I expected faster speeds, but after contacting my ISP they told me we made an appeal and it should be resolved in about 48 hours. It's been three weeks already—need assistance!

You have no control over the situation... you need to wait for the ISP to resolve the problem.

Well, you can check what your internet service provider promises. If they claim a certain speed but can't deliver it, they might have to lower the price until they can meet their commitment again. Both major ISPs in Belgium offer such assurances. If you're willing to call them, it might be worth reaching out.

Ensure you have a reliable data plan on your phone and use it to connect your PC via USB. Once fixed, switch to wireless until the issue is resolved. Don't forget to restart your modem.

It seems the recent surge in demand might be leading to network congestion or intentional bandwidth restrictions. I noticed my connection appears to maintain normal speeds during speed tests, but prolonged high-bandwidth downloads cause disconnections and lengthy wait times for reconnection. I've since modified my usage to avoid these issues. Streaming works fine, but it would be wise to reach out to your service provider to inquire about the situation and their awareness of it. They may not provide a helpful explanation.

my isp technical help is functioning and when i mention the problem they advise calling the support team by phone. they claim it’s a big expense and the waiting time is charged, saying your time and money are already accounted for. they suggest the fix will cost a lot of money, like taking your car to a garage and paying for the service. they also mention placing you on technical support without understanding internet speed units, relying on guides to give instructions. they argue this approach saves costs and claim they handled an appeal without doing anything meaningful.
