I can't upgrade this way, as I rely on a phone stick for internet access through the wall.

ASDL and VDSL are housed in a telephone adapter. Only the component requires an upgrade. (Outside your home, it might be on the closest street, the green one) This is due to VDSL transmitting a more compressed data signal, allowing more information to travel over the same cable compared to ADSL.

I think I should give it a shot. Even though I'm not confident about the upgrade, my mom isn't keen on spending extra on the internet. However, if it solves the nighttime bottleneck issue, it would be really great.

They should probably reach out to them directly. TDC intends to refresh all boxes in DK, and they usually do this if the current module is problematic. (The deadline feels long now, and you might want to ask about ADSL or VDSL options, and if they mention ADSL, inquire when they plan to switch to VDSL. It's about $0 if it's not already there)

Hey, just finished supporting as a tech specialist for two years, handling thousands of calls to TDC. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!
