Internet performance at just 5% of optimal speed
Your connection speed is quite slow, and you're paying a fair price for it.
The internet connection should be about 100mbps. I don’t recall the original speed, but that rate is definitely possible since it was reached on one of our computers using the same network.
It seems like you're facing a situation where options are limited. You could move the device from a power strip to the wall or use alternative outlets, but unless you're ready to replace the entire power infrastructure, there aren't many other solutions.
I've faced problems with drivers in Windows where I had to reset or completely reinstall everything to get things working. You might want to uninstall your network card and try installing new drivers for it. If that doesn't work, simply reinstalling could help. There are many reasons for a slow connection, and usually the slowest link determines your speed.
