Looking for improved home internet options. The router is fixed at one end, while your bedroom is farthest from it. You're currently using powerline adapters but they’re not fast enough. Could there be another method to boost connectivity between the two areas? Your situation sounds challenging—let me know if you'd like suggestions!

It seems a powerline connection might be the optimal choice. It appears your setup isn't providing sufficient speed due to the router being on a separate circuit. You might consider using a Wi-Fi extender instead.

My space is on the opposite end of the building, which means I’d just get internet for my computer.

The setup is connected to the same power line as the router. I've already used an extender, but even with powerline adapters, I'm only seeing about 11Mb download and 5Mb upload.

If you can, use a cable connection, of course. But considering your local powerline setup—often inconsistent and unreliable—it might be smarter to opt for a Wi-Fi repeater or a mesh network instead.

Use Ethernet cables or link them to an Ethernet switch. Alternatively, plug the Ethernet into a WiFi router in your room set up as an access point. Then connect your PC via Ethernet while also benefiting from strong WiFi throughout the house.

You can install a switch and access point at the opposite side of the house. Or better yet, obtain a solid AP and place it in the center. That’s what works best in most real-world HouseOfCourse setups.

Have you experimented with applying foil on one side? Additionally, consider a powerline as an alternative or a Wi-Fi extender. You might also switch your Wi-Fi channel to a more optimal one. Using a 5GHz frequency could be beneficial too.

You connect the device straight to the router. Make sure your connection isn’t merely laggy. Also, identify the power lines you’re using—they could be unreliable.
