Internet functions properly on the PC yet experiences interruptions on the laptop.
Hello. I have a problem with the eduroam Internet in my student dorm. The internet is high speed (100mbps) and I have very low ping so i'm very happy about it. Theres a problem though. On my girlfriend's laptop which is also connected to internet via ethernet cable, the internet keeps cutting off and I have to keep pressing the "Troubleshoot network" thing to get it to work,but then after a few minutes it cuts off again. After the troubleshoot finishes its thing, it always says that the problem was fixed by "Restoring the ethernet adapter to factory settings" which boggles my mind as I never change any settings. It just works one minute and then stops working the other. I have to either replug the cable or restart the laptop to get it working. Does anyone have any clue what I can do to fix it? I've tried reinstalling the eduroam certificate, i've tried manually setting up the network, i've tried a thousand things and I can't get it to work. I thought it was the cables at first,but there's no way. I tested both ports in the room, both work fine on my PC, but both act the same on the laptop.
