internet exploer help
A few weeks ago my granddad and I discovered a computer running Windows XP. The only browser available is Internet Explorer, but whenever we try to use it, it shows an error saying the Internet EXE can't display the webpage. Since the machine is connected to the internet, what should we do? Please let me know if you have more questions.
InterNut Exploder is a weak option for browsing, just like its younger cousin Edge. You might try transferring Firefox or another browser to a USB stick and installing it from there to test performance. Keep in mind that modern websites are more complicated now. This suggests older hardware may load slower and could freeze if the server doesn’t respond or if your machine doesn’t. Without details about your system specs, it seems like the issue might be speed-related, whether on your side or the site’s. You can try some fixes: it’s unlikely you can reinstall Win XP today (unless you have the original software), but you could clone the setup onto an SSD for faster operation. If your device supports Windows 10, installing it there would work without activation, though personalization features will be limited until activated.
Last month I set up Windows XP on a machine and had to configure it myself. The problem with Internet Explorer is that it doesn’t support HTML5, so pages fail to load. Google.com might still work because of backward compatibility. That’s why the Firefox version I shared works fine with XP and handles modern features like HTML5.
