I found every driver I could think of on a new PC, updated Windows, and Ethernet Status shows speed at 100 Mbps. Using the exact same cable and location as my old build that got over 800Mbps with Windows 10 Asus TUF Gaming B650-PLUS
That won't work forever. Eventually, the other end might drop to 100Mbit and then you have no connection at all. You need to fix the cable and leave the adapter set to auto mode. I did not answer your question about what your actual physical connectivity is... You should try temporarily running a new (even if long) factory-made cable directly from your router. That should be a Cat5e or Cat6a cable, made of 100% copper with wires that are 22-24 gauge. I personally like the monoprice cables -- here is their link: https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Flexboo...B00KWS7GAC
The wire plugs straight into my router and it's Cat 5e grade. I'm buying a new Cat 6 one from Monoprice to upgrade the connection.
