You're experiencing slower-than-expected internet performance despite having gigabit connectivity. The low ping in games suggests network latency issues, possibly due to routing or congestion. Using a Cat6 cable is a good start, but consider checking your router placement, updating firmware, and ensuring no interference. You might also benefit from optimizing your network settings or switching to a wired connection for more stability.

Your actual internet speed is gigabit. Being able to connect to the router at gigabit doesn't guarantee you can access the internet at gig.

I think if the ISP upgraded or added hardware, they would install equipment that supports gigabit speeds. It's not necessary to worry unless you notice any issues.

It's accurate. I used Comcast and after switching to gigabit, I had to wait ten days before a Comcast representative arrived to replace the gateway.

It’s better to visit Costco and pick a modem that matches your requirements. It’ll perform better than the low-cost option your provider offers, and you’ll avoid extra rental fees.

I have some differing views. Some ISPs can offer significant value depending on the circumstances. My investigation shows that with a Gigabit plan from Comcast, you can receive a gateway typically priced at $400 per month for just $10, which includes replacement and support if needed—an excellent deal.
