Hi all, I'm really unsure where to begin with this problem. It's been a while since I've encountered something like this before, and I haven't found anyone else dealing with it. My computer is usually left on, but lately every day I try to connect to the internet, I mostly can't. The odd thing is that sometimes I manage to play Steam games or access Google/YouTube, but most of the time I get stuck. When I open websites, I don't see the "You're not connected" warning and it just won't load anything. Typing a URL doesn't work either. On my new tab page, the icon flashes briefly before disappearing. The issue keeps happening every day without any pattern. Antivirus scans aren't helping.

System details: Windows 11 22H2 22621.1105
Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 MSI x570 MPG Gaming Plus v7C37vAI Sapphire Nitro RX 5700XT, 2x16GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200Mhz, Thermaltake SMART 700W WD Black SN750, 1TB SSD.

Consider reinstalling your internet drivers, save them beforehand, and install fresh ones. You might also switch to a different DNS resolver—Linus mentions a free option from 0.0.0.0 that works in under 30 seconds. What’s your system temperature like?

Access the control panel, navigate to network and sharing center, select adapter options, then enter IPv4 settings to manually set a DNS server. The search results indicate 8.8.8.8 for Google DNS and 1.1.1.1 for Cloudflare DNS.

The DNS change had no effect. This pattern repeats over several days. It also appears to occur at roughly the same time each day. I used the internet well before turning off my PC overnight, but after returning from school it stopped working.

Problem isn't connected to modem or router, occurs on various physically distinct networks within different homes. Clearly the issue lies in Windows.
