If you haven’t installed the software from your motherboard site, it could be wise to also update the additional drivers, such as the chipset one.

Yes! I'm really surprised this came up. Hope it's not a problem!

Your computer seems capable of managing regular internet use. The 2-digit ping was manageable for many years, though occasional 5-digit delays were noticeable. I realize now that your upload speed isn’t ideal, but it’s still within acceptable limits. Being near the end of the cable line means outages can affect your connection, especially during bad weather when TV and phone services often drop.

Consider changing the DNS server on the computer. Observe if this resolves the issue.

I thought I cleared it earlier, but I suspect the driver updates caused the problem

The download speed is fairly normal for my location, and I believe my computer has enough power—probably the drivers fixed the problem!

Ah, good to hear. I feel kinda bad now... my upload speed is slower than yours, and my download is slightly higher...

Thanks to everyone, it seems the driver update fixed the problem. A bit flustered, but glad it worked!
