I've tried three different routers so far: a Netgear Nighthawk R7500, a budget Linksys model from Walmart, and an ASUS RT-AX86U. My ISP uses Spectrum, and we were instructed to return the modem for a replacement, which we did. The issue persists for nearly two months. In games, I disconnect from servers, Valorant has occasional network issues but no packet loss, CSGO freezes with a disconnection warning, Discord pings spike to 5000 causing loss, Zoom video/audio stalls and shows instability, and apps like Instagram fail to load even on mobile. The speed remains solid for uploads and downloads, though it drops intermittently every few minutes or 30 seconds. I shared a router log here: https://pastebin.com/J69EwXS8. A technician visited to check and confirmed everything was functioning, but I suspect the problem began after a storm—possibly related to coaxial cables entering the house. Please let me know if this helps. Thank you.

I verified packet loss by checking the network setup. Many experts inspect the main distribution point and claim everything looks good, but the actual end-to-end link to your home might be faulty.

It wasn't very detailed or complete. I only checked the net stats for Valorant during the options phase when the connection cut out. The packet loss stayed at 0% throughout. I might try another test soon if you have some ideas.

Yes, there are two approaches: a fast one and a more detailed method. For a deeper dive, check out the resources linked above. Also, ISPs (including mine) take Pingplotter data seriously, so you can reference printouts to demonstrate problems lie with them.

Sure thing, buddy. Thanks for the update. I tested the ping plotter on an IP to CSGO FFA server and finally got the data to me. This is the first time I noticed where the packet loss was happening at 100%. The quick fix I expected didn’t show up because it was a short test session. I actually caught it! Haha.

I'll perform a comprehensive review across various IP addresses to check for synchronized drops.

Gather several records from different locations to support your case against your ISP.

Hey there, it's been a while since we last spoke. Spectrum sent over a technician who insisted everything was fine on their side, but that didn't clear up the ping plotter issue. He gave vague responses, saying traceroute results aren't reliable because gaming involves many factors—something I get. I verified multiple servers, and it wasn't just my device. It also showed up on Discord. He mentioned possibly checking other services since they might be experiencing problems. Today I ran an IP lookup on that account and saw consistently high latency. I've attached the results. I'm really confused about what to do next. For my location, Spectrum is currently the fastest option at 400mbps. The only alternative would be AT&T, which we used before but capped at 25mbps. That's still the best they offered. I'm feeling really lost.

It looks like others have shared similar issues. The specific node is too busy to help, and your ISP will check their connection from their central point. They might just ping your home from there, but beyond that, you’ll need experts to fix the wiring both outside and inside your property—though results may be limited.
