Just recently , my Cox wifi gateway is capping at exactly ~ 30mbps . Rebooting the modem temporarily fixes the issue for a few minutes , THEN the issue returns once again (my plan is 500mbps ) . Not even factory reset can fix this . You think this is hardware issue ? Cable wiring issue? Should I call the technician?

Are you sure the Cox gateway functions just as a router? If not, test with another router to verify performance. Reach out to customer support—they handle these matters and ensure you receive the services you pay for, including reliable speeds like 500mpbs. Let me know if you need more details.

I would reach out to support, though they mentioned their ISPs have provided excellent assistance over the last ten years.

I received a new modem from the store. During the first setup, the connection speed was normal for several hours. However, the maximum speed has since returned to its capped level. I may need to schedule a technician visit.
