Hello, I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with a GTX 1060. On Linux boot, the window animations stopped working. Updates and drivers mentioned using the new driver but it didn't function properly. The internet cable isn't detected, so no connection exists. It seems the cable isn't plugged in at all. When I switch to Windows 10 everything works fine. My thought is that the drivers failed to load. Could you assist me?

Could you try connecting a live USB running Ubuntu 18.04 and check for ongoing problems? If the system appears stable there, we can proceed with reinstalling Ubuntu on your PC.

It's fine to reinstall Ubuntu, I've got everything saved, but I wanted to skip that step. I'm planning to use a live USB and see if an update from the ISO works.

There seems to have been a minor adjustment, around 100MB, though it wasn't a kernel release, so it should be fine. Ultimately, I resolved the issue—I realized I needed the PC right away and reinstalled Linux, which is now functioning properly with the newest updates.
