Lots of places offer just a few providers, maybe two. You don’t specify where you are or which providers exist nearby. Fiber Optic is the top choice. Coax is probably the next best, though it depends on the network company. Then comes VDSL, ADSL, or LTE. Satellite is the worst, and using a satellite dish with cables is the least ideal.

Ummmmm. DUDE....... SMH. FIOS is Fiber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have Xfinity it could be a multitude of issues. Best guess without looking at anything is A) You have signal issue OR B) The node your connected to is just congested to all hell. The signal issues can be diagnosed generally from the modem. If you have FIOS then you need to call Verizon or Frontier(If your unlucky and live in one of those areas) and complain.
