Internal USB 3.0 port requires a converter or splitter for compatibility.
Hey everyone, I have a situation where my setup has two USB 3.0 cables for the front internal ports, but the Crosshair Hero VIII only has one of them. I’m wondering if a splitter could help me use the second USB 3.0 cable connected to MoBo so all four front ports work properly.
Yes,thank you so much...but I wasn't able to find it at my supplier
Looking for "USB 3.0 internal splitter" online should provide accessible options.
It's a somewhat uncommon product, so you might not easily locate it with just one source. A converter such as this could be a better fit https://iponcomp.com/shop/termek/akasa-u...0bk/859121
Certainly, it seems both of your internal USB 2.0 connectors are already in use.
Back to basics I see. You need clearer headings. It doesn’t seem to matter what format you use. Check the site for anything mentioning USB headers on your system, like these:
I have the information below...that setup is 2.0... From my perspective, I’d need a splitter for 2.0 and then connect the second one to extend to 3.0 using the one you discovered on ipon. I’m hoping it will function properly. Using two splitters is a simple way to create a short and potentially damage the board. It doesn’t matter, my friend, if we can’t find just one, it really isn’t that crucial. I just want to utilize all three front panel USB 3.0 connectors. I don’t understand why they split it into two USB 3.0 cables going from the case to the motherboard. Thanks anyway.
