It was merely a secondary storage with media content attached. After rebooting, it didn’t appear in Disk Management or DiskPart. I haven’t verified it’s properly connected yet, but if it wasn’t fully inserted, the drive should function normally.
It should function properly again. Consider reinserting the cable and restoring from backups if needed.
It seems someone connected it while it was on and got nervous about checking again. I think it might not be fully connected, so it should automatically restore itself. Alternatively, you may need to change the letter settings in disk management. Either way, it doesn’t look like the drive is completely dead—it just shut down abruptly.
Do you have previous copies of the drive? Have you made a backup of this drive? Can you provide images of its location within the system?
You may have to power off/restart for it to appear, whereas SATA hotplug remains disabled on most motherboards unless explicitly turned on.
