I've experienced only slight GPU problems (2080 Super ROG White OC), more than most but not severe. I had to return my first GPU and received a replacement. It functioned normally until about a month ago when it began producing artifacts and stopped working. In short, it seemed to recover itself. I simply changed the power supply cables, and it worked again—this was quite helpful context. Recently, about two weeks ago, I encountered an NVMe error. This has been my experience with the Samsung 980 Pro NVMe drive for roughly a year and a half. It was a standard STORVME error. After several attempts at troubleshooting, I had a spare system and removed the NVMe from the motherboard. I expected it to be fine, but instead, my PC immediately went into login mode, then crashed and displayed a black screen. Since this issue has occurred before, I repeated the same steps without success. Regarding the NVMe, I tested it on a spare unit, which operated perfectly. Now, the main problem is with my GPU behaving erratically. Every time I attempt to install the NVIDIA drivers, the system crashes upon loading them. When using DDU to uninstall, everything functions normally, but when trying to download the driver, it fails again. I removed the GPU from my current system and placed it in the spare one, but the same problems persist. This has left me with more questions than answers.

Update: Currently everything is operating smoothly, as if nothing happened before. I’ll keep updating the forum for my own reference.
Just guessing but does the NVMe slot use the same bandwidth as the PCIe or the CPU? You took out the NVMe drive, so you might need to adjust settings in BIOS. Even though I admit that wouldn’t solve the driver problems or why it behaves strangely on another system. Why did this problem occur before? And what changes did you attempt to resolve it?
I'm pretty sure the issue is limited to SATA 4 and 5, though I might be mistaken—I've had similar doubts before. It also raises another question about why NVMe performed well for a while but then suddenly the PCIe slot lost bandwidth. I made some changes to my BIOS settings during troubleshooting, but ended up reverting to defaults. The only prior problem was with the GPU; fixing the PSU cables resolved it this time, but it didn't work again, which left me hoping for a better outcome 😣 I also haven't figured out why it happened and came here just to ask for help and answers tbh 😭
If the GPU is behaving strangely on two different PCs, it probably means something is wrong. It should still be covered under warranty. If you purchased it last month, returning it should be possible. If the GPU is causing issues now and refusing to function, you should consider getting a replacement.
I intend to return the GPU through RMA, because it seems to act independently. That’s the weird part of the problems I’m facing—right now everything is functioning perfectly, and I can’t understand why. I wish PCs were more reliable, like Ayo; you’d just need to swap this component, but that’s the charm of it, I guess 😩
