Hello,
I'm a beginner with a custom-built PC from PC Specialist that I haven't upgraded for two years. Recently, I purchased a Nvidia GTX 970 paired with Zotac Firestorm overclocking software. After swapping my 660ti with this new card, I experienced a noticeable boost in FPS. But when I ran the Unigine Heaven Benchmark Test 4.0, my scores were much lower than those using the 970.

I wonder what factors might be causing such poor performance and what overclocking settings should I try. I've attached my PC components and a screenshot of the overclocking interface.
Thanks.

No issue, thank you for your patience. Before proceeding, check if your board includes overclocking profiles and save your current settings as a profile just in case. You should be able to restore everything to the default BIOS settings. I’m not certain of the exact brand, so a general reset might work. If you don’t see a specific button, follow the instructions carefully and set the clock to 3.5 Ghz.

Start by verifying the windows power mode settings, making sure it's in balanced rather than power saver. If that doesn't resolve the problem, turn off the overclock via firestorm and test again without it. The Base Clock should be set to 3.5Ghz; note any overclocking issues and stay updated.

First, verify the windows power mode settings, as I experienced a similar problem before. Make sure it's configured for balanced rather than power saver. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, turn off the overclock via firestorm and test again without it. The Base Clock should be 3.5Ghz, and there could have been an overclocking issue. I’ll keep you updated.

Sure, I'll take care of that this weekend and get back to you. Right now I'm really busy with school. Just to confirm, after turning off the CPU overclocking, I should look for a better Heaven Benchmark score. If it's not better, what should I do then? Are there other possible issues?
