You're getting it right. I'm not presenting anything solid—I'm just sharing my ideas as they come.

It would make a good challenge—I’d have a laptop, but I also own a PC with WiFi that I’ve locked down. The results are similar for both.

How often did you attempt to reboot and/or reset the router? Even for widespread problems, this can sometimes resolve the issue.

I've restarted both the router and modem several times without success. I'm attempting a DNS swap to test its effectiveness, but so far my only connected devices are iPods, Kindles, and TVs. Next, I plan to disconnect the router entirely and connect directly to the modem, then configure my PC with a static IP address to explore further options.

The situation seems to be stuck after the DNS swap failed. I optimized the system and used a static IP and DNS, but nothing worked until I restarted it briefly. It’s possible there’s a software problem affecting multiple devices in the area. To address this, I’d look into updating the operating system and network drivers overnight, checking for pending updates, verifying firewall settings, and ensuring all devices have current connectivity configurations.

It seems I made a mistake after the Windows update. The update affected Windows Defender and my anti-virus software, which is unexpected. I’ll review their systems too.
