I’m exploring AM5 motherboard BIOS adjustments and CPU undervolting, mainly for safety. Recently there are frequent reports about Ryzen X3D CPUs failing, often linked to ASUS or ASRock boards. I’m using an ASUS board myself, which makes me a bit anxious. Many online sources mention Curve Optimizer, SoC voltage options (Auto/Manual/Offset), CPU core voltage, and PBO settings, which are confusing. Here are some points:

1. How to safely lower the AM5 CPU voltage in BIOS?
2. Using Curve Optimizer with all cores set to negative values (−30/−20/−15/−10)—does it work safely?
3. SoC voltage readings: BIOS shows ~1.04V and ~1.02V in HWiNFO. Should I stick to Auto or adjust manually/offset to prevent spikes?
4. PBO status: should it be turned off for safety, and does Curve Optimizer function properly without it?
5. Important tips: Are there specific BIOS settings beyond updating the BIOS that help protect the CPU and avoid sudden high SoC voltage, especially on ASUS boards? If you have experience, please share your advice.

What motherboard and processor are you running? I’m using an ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI with a 9800X3D, and I’m configured with PBO, -25 Curve Optimizer, 10x Scalar, and 200Mhz across all cores. No concerns here.

Begin here... Edited: I didn’t post those since “Youtube it you lazy ass!!!”, but I did because those were the primary two I relied on when I first got my 7700X to understand them.
