Uncertain about its placement in the CPUs or GPUs section, but given the APU discussion I’ll begin here. Mods might adjust it if they sense it doesn’t fit the right category. Do you know if AMD is sticking with Vega cores for APUs or planning to switch to Navi cores in future releases? I’ve noticed the Vega integrated graphics are performing well, but competing against Intel HD is quite different from tackling Pascal or Turing. Just a curious question. Thanks, Harry Voyager.

Navi architecture remains under development and isn't ready for integration into compact forms like a CPU. This is because the team hasn't completed the work needed to produce viable products from it. The process isn't as simple as it seems.

Navi isn't suited for APU configurations. It's unlikely AMD would combine Zen 2 with Navi.

Thank you for the clarification. I hadn't realized Navi couldn't be mounted on APUs yet.

AMD prefers to steer clear of the issues that arose with the first-gen Mobile Ryzen. The earlier Vega+Ryzen model was particularly problematic in terms of stability on certain devices, including my own.

The 3400G and 3200G are simply higher binned versions of the 2200G and 2400G, without a Zen 2 processor. It's possible future APUs might incorporate Navi cores on them.

They're using 12nm process for some and 14nm for others.

Similar to the changes made from RX580 to RX 590, just a more refined die perhaps...
