Hello, I have some questions about the Ryzen 5 3600 temperatures. Details --------------------------- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.2GHz turbo @ 1.25V Mobo: MSI B450 Pro Gaming Carbon AC RAM: T-Force Delta R 2x8GB GPU: PowerColor RX 5700 XT 8GB Red Devil CPU Cooler: Noctua U12S PSU: Seasonic Focus+ 850fx 850W Gold Case: Sharkoon TG4 (3 intake, 1 exhaust fan, all 120mm) Room temp: 23C with AC on Issue --------------------------- I watched Mass Effect Andromeda and temperatures stayed high at 83°C. Questions --------------------------- 1. Should I lower the GPU one slot down? Will that help? 2. Planning to add another exhaust fan on top of the case? Do I need to drill custom holes? 3. Is it just the game, or is there another factor at play? PS --------------------------- I installed a peach-sized Noctua NT-H1 in the middle of the CPU (thermal paste seems fine). I secured the cooler until it was snug. Thanks ahead!

83c is completely normal. nothing to worry about. also, the fans are not your problem, the case is... the intake area is really small so the intake fans are getting choked.

Remove the front panel for testing the theory? No, that's not recommended. However, your reasoning is accurate—the GPU affects the CPU cooler temperature.

Fewer lanes on the GPU usually results in reduced performance.
