I've temporarily lost control of my left hand; previously I played PC and Xbox games, but now I can't use a keyboard or controller. I'm looking for mouse-only titles, especially since I love Oxygen Not Included. Thanks!

Yes, you can map keyboard shortcuts to a mouse using a device like the Razer Naga.

I believe you can control Age of Empires using just the mouse. Maybe Sims too? And don't overlook Bloons Tower Defense.

This game should work well for one-handed play, similar to Path of Exile.

Oxygen Not Included supports custom keybindings, letting you assign your mouse to frequently used actions. You can also use the number pad to map less common commands. While not exclusively mouse-based, a full-sized keyboard will make your movements smoother and allow you to play with just one hand.

Civ 5 is a favorite among players who prefer mouse controls, with around 2400 hours logged over the years. If losing your left hand permanently happens, a mobility aid—like a removable game pad for foot movement—could act as a substitute for WASD. With some practice, you might still manage keyboard games. The idea I had was a device that lets you move forward, backward, and sprint using pedals; it’s not flawless but functional. You can find similar options here: https://www.amazon.com/Control-Shortcut-...088BK2WLK/

Hi, the issue isn't permanent loss of function. The documentation indicates full recovery won’t happen until at least 10 months. Playing games for that duration would be challenging. I’m trying to stay active and see how much progress I can make. Thanks for your feedback.

Hope everything turns out smoothly and you bounce back in great shape. Please let me know if you have any solid ideas for games to enjoy during this time.
