However, using a racing wheel to mimic real driving isn’t very engaging. I mainly played City Car Driving with a Driving Force GT, which proved to be an excellent simulation. A few months later, when I drove a real car, it felt natural and familiar—no surprises or challenges beyond what I’d already practiced in-game.

In most simulations, the sensation of speed and movement isn't fully realistic. Turning sharply in a simulator won't give you the actual feeling of the car's body moving or the forces acting on you.

Imitating my trip to the grocery store for milk helped me grasp the basics without needing intense forces or sensations. It focused on pedaling effort, wheel rotation, and control mechanics. That experience made the first time in the imported RHD car feel natural, especially since I stayed on the same side as usual. Understanding racing versus sim-based driving is quite different.

I keep enjoying Test Drive Unlimited 2 on my wheel—it's still really enjoyable.
