I faced issues confirming a credit card, though they provided some assistance. This isn't the main topic here. They assist with certain matters, but may not cover VAC ban appeals or ongoing scam reports.

Your account was taken over due to a phishing link you clicked. Your contact details were altered without your consent. Steam Support recommended locking the account and asked for a verification ticket to regain access, which I received using a wallet code receipt. They told me to wait a long time before responding, as if my gaming passion had caused me distress. It took three weeks and they still didn’t check my verification request. This is how it usually goes with Steam support.

Steam's main issue is its users, which are you. The responsibility lies with you, not the platform. Your items may eventually be returned, though the timeline isn't guaranteed—could range from a few days to several weeks.

Valve no longer refunds scammed items. Your account+games may be reimbursed, possibly including funds on your account. You'll need proof like a receipt or purchase confirmation (such as a CD key) and some waiting. They usually take at least 5 working days for Steam support to respond, with a standard wait of 10-14 days.
