It's a DDR5 system... but what if we invest in some 4090 Ti chips? I'm ready to put money into retirement savings!
I think it’s probably not as bad as everyone claims, but it might not be as impressive as some people expect. Over time I’ve realized that jumping in early isn’t usually wise, and this is the second time around—first with a big.little and then with the DDR5 platform. Honestly, I don’t really care much now. Still, I’m curious about third-party benchmarks.
Absolutely right! Power consumption is rising significantly these days. With components like the 4090 drawing close to 500W and pairing it with a 12900K, you'd need a robust 1200W 80+ Titanium power supply just to keep things running smoothly. The electricity costs are definitely a concern. While the CPU price isn't too steep, the overall setup becomes quite expensive. Using liquid nitrogen for cooling adds another layer of complexity and expense.
The chips I believe are underpriced by Intel seem favorable. It’s better than spending a lot on an expensive processor or reverting to older models like the 980X.
