Which motherboard is connected? For server models, you can enable ECC Buffered Memory for ECC support. For consumer models, stick with whatever the board can handle—usually ECC memory that isn’t registered.

Thanks! It seems ECC registered memory is required. The 1066 DDR3 at 8GB should work with a single stick according to that guide. Faster consumer RAM isn’t advised. You probably won’t be able to apply XMP profiles on servers to modify the memory beyond 1066.

The board is compatible with any PC using 1066 DDR3 RAM, ECC-registered, ECC-uncuffed, and standard non-ECC memory. Which sizes were you testing?
