I just discovered Intel's beta version for Google. I looked through a couple of tutorials I found, but none helped. Did they take this feature off? When I add --enable-features=IntelVpSuperResolution at the end, it displays this message.

Yeah this Beta was in March of 2023, Chrome has had many updates in a year and it seems there isn't much coverage of this feature after that. I'm poking around but haven't found anything useful yet but its safe to assume that Beta flag in the shortcut doesn't work anymore

I also tried lossless scaling, but it’s really taxing on my Intel Iris Xe GPU. It turns my laptop into a toaster, haha.

It seems the beta version has been available for a while now. It functions only with Intel integrated graphics or an Intel ARC GPU. From what I understand, it likely doesn't support Nvidia or AMD GPUs.

The sources mentioned IGPs from Intel starting from the sixth generation onward.

I believe there was a post mentioning an Nvidia solution that achieved 200W on an RTX 3070.

I've experimented with this feature since its launch with Nvidia. It's fascinating how it functions. I own a 4K native screen and I'm setting it to the "4" or highest quality. Backing up 720p at 4K in fullscreen on my 3090 used about 20-40W. Watching 1080p came around 100W. Scaling 1440p to 4K is mind-blowing for quality level 4, often exceeding 300W. It's been a while since I tested it, but now I have a 4090 and still use it every day.

It mainly works with videos that are already playing in a browser, and it doesn’t necessarily upscale the downloaded files themselves.

Several options exist for downloading videos using technology. MPC-HC works through different plugins, while VLC now includes it natively.
