You're looking to upgrade your PC but aren't sure which components to choose. Here are some options: Ryzen 5 1400 with a Gigabyte A320 S2H V2 motherboard, or an Intel Core i3 9100F with an MSI H310M VDH GPU, paired with GTX 1050, 4GB RAM, and Team Elite. For gaming and tasks like Photoshop or Premiere Pro, the Ryzen 5 might be better, while the Intel could work if you're okay with slightly older specs. Let me know if you need more details! XD

I haven't located any direct comparisons between the 9100F and the R5 1400. However, this should provide a general sense of the differences. The 9100F seems to outperform the 8100 slightly.

Choose a B350/450 board offering greater (OC) adaptability and superior stock cooler performance.

Choose AMD for its upgrade options, invest in a solid motherboard, and you'll be ready to switch to a top-tier CPU later. With the B450 TOMAHAWK MAX, you can eventually upgrade to a 16-core 3950X processor.

I increased my budget and considering the ASRock AB350, is it still a good choice to opt for the Ryzen 5?

It seems you're asking about the Ryzen 5 1 400. Could you clarify what you'd like to know? For example, are you looking for its specifications, features, or something else?

I understand, but in 4-5 years the OP will achieve improved compatibility following a future upgrade (provided they are using a B450 board).

He’ll be in a better position to purchase a fresh platform in five years. AM4 is nearing its final year.
