I just checked out the B550 boards. It’s clear I won’t go with the X570 chipset anymore after seeing what these boards can do. It’s a huge improvement, no way. I actually have a budget of about 1k for the trio—already got a GPU, power supply, storage, cooling, and a case. In Israel, even that much is tight for just three parts. But I really want those two extra cores and four extra threads. I’d also like the 10700K because it would make a big difference. Plus, this CPU should last me 6 to 8 years or more, so I think it’s worth getting those extra two cores and four threads.

I'm discussing USB 3.0 and higher ports. I notice many devices featuring 2 or even 4 USB 2.0 connections, which really confuses me. Why would anyone require four USB 2.0 ports in 2020? Many motherboards now offer just four USB 3.0 and above ports, which is exactly what I need. Two for the keyboard because it causes issues when connected to a 2.0 port, and one for the headset, leaving me with just one. My current Z77X D3H has six USB 3.0 ports, making it very useful.
I really need more due to these clumsy RGB controllers. I've had to purchase USB 2.0 internal splitters for two of my setups now. It makes sense, believe me—the makers know what they're doing. External USB 3.0/3.1 connectors are simpler to obtain and leave less clutter on the back side; most of my gear is already plugged into a hub.
