Microcode issues affect all 14th and 13th Gen chips, but only half of the i9 processors (both 13th and 14th Gen) are impacted. i7 and lower CPUs, plus half of the newly released i9 models, remain unaffected. Updates are meant to prevent problems, with a full fix planned for August. Intel is also dealing with two significant challenges they’re actively addressing.

Hello, I've attached a log from Fortnite that appears to crash the fastest. More updates will come from other programs soon. After switching the CPU, I reinstalled Windows but it didn't help. All drivers and BIOS are current as of today. I couldn't locate a way to disable XMP, but keeping it on XMP 1 worked since that's what was set before. Here are the system specs: Motherboard - Asus Rog Strix B760-F. CPU - Intel Core i9 12900K (previously Intel Core i7-14700K). RAM - 2x 32GB DDR5 5200MHz GPU - ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 Power - Be Quiet! Straight Power 12 1200W. EDIT - Further troubleshooting: I've tried a different GPU and removed one of the two RAM sticks, etc. FortniteGame.log

I wanted to let you know about this update. I attempted to use Unreal Engine, which also has similar crash problems. I tested both Windows 10 and 11, but it works with Ubuntu—probably because of a different UE build. So, essentially, hardware issues seem unlikely. The issue lies with plugins that are only available on Windows, making it hard to pinpoint the problem in Windows.
