I’ll purchase an i7-14700KF and need to choose the right DDR5 RAM sticks. A 6400MHz CL32 is suitable, but a 7200MHz CL34 would offer better performance.

Yes, this speed is usually suggested for the 13th generation. The 7200 isn’t consistently reliable on 13th gen CPUs. It performs better on the 14th generation, but the gain isn’t significant enough to justify it. Also, the 6400 build should be able to reach 7200+ if other components support it, making the 7200 kits less valuable in that regard.

Also worth mentioning is that you're not being scammed and might end up with a setup that doesn't even support XMP. In that case, you'd be better off purchasing the 6400 and doing the tuning yourself to reach above 8000, while avoiding the 7200 XMP model depending on your CPU and motherboard. With Intel's inconsistent ICs, it can be quite an adventure overclocking—though it might feel like a challenge!

Consider your needs and budget before deciding. A 6400mhz Corsair CL32 offers solid performance but may not match higher-end options for the best gaming experience.

Brand is irrelevant; opt for more affordable rams if they exist, same follow-ups apply
