Research is ongoing regarding the GPU market in 2026. I’m considering an Intel GPU, possibly a B780 model, to enable Quicksync encoding and decoding. A YouTube video mentioned that an Intel Arc A770 outperformed other high-end GPUs in encoding high-resolution videos due to its internal Quicksync support. Other videos indicated that Intel GPUs often lagged, causing frame drops during 4K streaming, with Nvidia being recommended for better performance. Tech Notice highlighted Intel Arc as having the best encoding quality, Nvidia as second, and AMD as the worst. My main concern is whether using an Intel GPU might slow down encoding compared to a dedicated Nvidia card. I’m also curious about combining an Intel Arc with a Nvidia 5000 GPU in one system—would they communicate effectively during encoding? Has Nvidia’s encoding quality improved to match Intel’s current offerings? Additionally, I’m wondering if collaborating between Intel and Nvidia could lead to integrating Intel’s Quicksync technology into Nvidia’s GPUs in the future.
