I'm evaluating AMD and Intel CPUs for my setup. I need to record edits and listen to some music, mainly Minecraft, but occasionally play Fortnite. I believe Intel could be better for Minecraft, but for editing and Fortnite, I might prefer AMD.

It's about what you're planning to match it with.

This was my setup but I encountered issues. I should update the CPU cooler and consider using the 3070.

If that's a system you seriously intend to buy/build, it will be seriously wasted with a 1080p resolution monitor.

Looking for 200-300 FPS in Minecraft? You're using a quad-core processor and a mid-range graphics card like the RTX 3080 Ti. Many gamers used older hardware back then, but modern systems can handle higher frame rates. Intel and AMD often outperform older GPUs on current displays.

The 5800X and 3080TI might be too much for your needs, but AMD is still the better option.
