Intel or AMD for gaming

Hello, I’m exploring options to assemble a new gaming PC. I’m torn between the Intel Core i5-10400F and the Ryzen 5 2600. Since I’m in Europe, the price gap is roughly 10 to 20 euros. Just to be clear, this setup is intended for gaming only.

Are you thinking about a standalone GPU? If you're on a tight budget, consider the AMD RYZEN 3200G or 3600G.

It seems you're questioning the pricing. If you're not getting 3600 for a comparable item, then 10400 might be a better value.

I currently have a 1050 Ti until the market cools down, then I’ll consider getting an RTX 2070 Super.

Sadly, my location means the Ryzen 5 3600 costs 100 euros more than these chips, and I'm struggling to stay within my budget.

It's clear to see, these parts are quite outdated now. For better performance, go for the 5600x if you have the budget.

No, the value depends on your local currency conversion. The 3600 may be more valuable if your country's currency has a higher purchasing power compared to the 5600x.
