you installed your 16gb intel optane with the recommended bios settings, but it still doesn’t boot. you tried disabling the optane boot option, downloaded drivers from gigabyte support, reinstalled it in a different slot, and now it’s showing as an nvme drive in bios while appearing empty in windows. it seems the drivers might not be compatible with your current bios configuration. consider checking the latest intel bios drivers or contacting intel support for compatibility issues.

Are you really relying on that Optane technology? It was an interesting idea once, but modern SSDs are better these days.

I only received the 10th generation Intel CPU recently, and I've been waiting about three months before installing it. Now that I have it, I'm also struggling to afford an SSD.

It's hard to understand what the intel says about this table. It seems the Optane drive requires an 11th generation CPU if you're using a 10th gen board. A 10th gen motherboard should work. Check the official intel resources for more details.
