Intel i5 8400 with GTX 1060 6GB RAM showing high CPU activity
I own an i5 8400 and a GTX 1060. When playing any game, the CPU usage spikes to 100%. This occurs regardless of the game—modern ware-fare, Rocket League, Fortnite, etc. Even though Cod is a demanding visual game, it shouldn’t hit 80%. I’ve tried everything online for weeks, restarted my system cleanly, but nothing works. Could you help? Please suggest some simple fixes, as I tend to overlook them. Thanks!
The code should perform that task. Every CPU in this system executes it similarly to how Blackops 4 does. The present version is significantly less demanding on the processor compared to Blackops 4.
I’m only running the game, while my friend with comparable hardware seems to be doing fine.
It refers to a processor with a 6-core and 6-thread architecture, offering decent multi-threading capabilities despite not being the top choice for heavy parallel processing.
I've run several tests and checked how my setup compares to others, which often use far fewer resources—around 60%. That's something I find concerning.
This might raise concerns since high-performance games like Fortnite shouldn't run at full capacity.
