I’m experiencing significantly lower frame rates than other players despite using a similar GPU and settings. I achieve 15 FPS on the low preset, while others maintain 25-30 FPS at 768p medium. My system has 4GB RAM, whereas theirs has 8GB. Can RAM impact GPU performance?

Battlefield 4 is demanding on systems. I am interested in knowing your source material for good FPS on the iGPU and what processor you are using.

Core i3-5005U. They also have similar configurations with increased RAM.

A YouTube video displays Battlefield 4 running on an Intel HD 5500 graphics card and an i5-5200U processor, achieving approximately 25 frames per second. An i5 processor would likely be required for this frame rate.

He has a similar CPU with 8 GB of RAM and achieves 25-30 FPS on the medium preset. I have 4 GB of RAM, all drivers are updated, and I’ve allocated VRAM to the GPU via BIOS.

RAM can also have an effect. Demanding battlefield titles will not run optimally with the limited RAM remaining after your iGPU and Windows consume a portion of your 4GB.

RAM usage at 3920 MB is causing performance drops and making the game unplayable.

That laptop is unlikely to run Battlefield 4. Increasing RAM would be beneficial as you're probably using the pagefile extensively, resulting in significant performance problems.

Increase your system's RAM to 8GB and test with dual-channel configuration.
