Hey everyone, I’m looking for some guidance. I’m replacing my CPU and motherboard from Intel to AMD, and I want to know if I can simply swap them out and keep using my existing M.2 slot with Windows installed. Also, will I need to reinstall Windows? Thanks ahead!

You should probably check if everything works before proceeding. Sometimes switching teams for CPU can cause unexpected problems. If you're unsure, it's safer to reinstall your OS instead of trying to fix things yourself.

I understand your perspective. I visited Intel and AMD a few years back and faced some driver problems that were hard to pinpoint. After a complete Windows reinstall, the issue disappeared. While not entirely certain, it seemed likely.

It might help to mention the same motherboard brand; it's unclear if this affects performance.

Typically, it's the chipset drivers that cause problems rather than the network adapter.
