My PC specifications: Motherboard model MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7700, GPU ASRock Intel Arc B580 Steel Legend 12GB (latest drivers installed, base settings in the software), storage Kingston NV2 SSD (single drive), power supply DeepCool PQ650M 650W, BIOS EXPO Profile 2 active, no overclocking enabled, display LG FHD TV at 1080p 60Hz, operating system Windows 11 Pro (fully updated).

What occurred: This has now transpired twice. Two months prior, after rearranging cables inside the home, I replaced my 3m HDMI 2.0 with a shorter HDMI 1.4 from my PS4. Initially, the PC booted into BIOS correctly but failed to recognize Windows. Typing the PIN blindly didn’t produce any response. At that moment, I installed Windows cleanly because the OS was only a week old, and this resolved the issue even after later HDMI changes.

Now, my HDMI 1.4 cable snapped in the TV port during transport, so I switched back to the 3m HDMI 2.0. The same problem reappeared: BIOS loads, but Windows fails to start and shows no signal. Typing the PIN blindly didn’t initiate anything—no RGB profile loading either.

I’ve tried several fixes with AI assistance:
- Verified that the HDMI 2.0 cable functions on a neighbor’s PC.
- Confirmed boot sequence and display settings in BIOS are correct.
- Entered Automatic Repair → Startup Repair.
- Blindly entered PIN → RGB fan profile activated, but no video output.
- Borrowed a different 2.0 HDMI cable from a friend and tried booting—still no signal.

Additional steps I attempted:
- Checked with AI that the HDMI 2.0 cable works on another machine.
- Ran diagnostics in Recovery (net user Administrator) and found success enabling hidden admin account.
- Rebooted using shutdown /r /t 0 command (command not recognized).
- Used wpeutil to reboot, but encountered errors.
- Plugged Ethernet for Safe Mode networking—no internet options appeared.
- Tried uninstalling or rolling back the Intel Arc GPU driver via CMD in Recovery.

What I suspect: The Intel Arc GPU driver may be corrupted or misconfigured after the HDMI switch, possibly causing a handshake failure. Windows might be attempting an invalid display mode or output method, resulting in no signal post-BIOS. To resolve this, entering Safe Mode and removing or reinstalling the Intel drivers could restore functionality. After a successful reboot, I’d need to reinstall everything properly.

Help needed:
- How can I bypass or fix the PIN login issue so I can enter Safe Mode?
- In Safe Mode, how do I uninstall or revert the Intel Arc GPU driver?
- Can I view status or error logs for the Intel GPU driver to report this to Intel?
- What steps can I take to prevent this problem from recurring?

I’m still stuck—cannot log in because of the PIN bug and cannot access Windows normally due to the no-signal condition. Please advise. Thank you for your time and assistance, – Chris

I can't get my igpu to work. I did update my bios and I did turn on the right configurations in the bios that should make it work but no signal at all, not even on booting up.

Failed to resolve the problem. The GPU display remains unavailable even after safe mode setup. Removed Intel drivers didn’t help. Now attempting DDU support; if unsuccessful, I’ll perform a clean install and consider selling the B580 due to the ongoing frustration.

Fixed this morning after several attempts. Initially, I tried safe mode to remove GPU drivers but it didn’t help. Eventually, I cleaned the installation and tested on another PC. Later, using a friend’s HDMI 1.4, everything worked perfectly. It was confusing at first thinking it was a driver problem, but it turned out to be a handshake issue with my TV. For future reference, if you see “no signal after BIOS,” use a certified HDMI cable and avoid generic brands.
