Hello! I can try to assist you. You've optimized your Pentium N4200 by removing its power limits, allowing it to run at full capacity. However, it caps at 8 watts and drops back down to around 6 watts after a short time. It seems the 8-watt setting isn't providing sustained performance. You've also tried throttling, but it still shuts down quickly. Maybe experimenting with different power settings or checking for hardware issues could help improve its longevity. Let me know if you'd like more guidance!
It's not that warm after all... Is there a way to unlock it with software? I turned off the BDPROCHOT and intel speedstep, but it still drops to 6 watts after a short time. Should I modify my BIOS to bypass that restriction? The 6 watts isn't sufficient these days, unless it reaches around 8 watts.
I can only save up to one second if the file gets too large. Regarding deleting the Intel Dynamic Tuning/DPTF processor, let me know and I’ll guide you through the steps. No worries about the heat—your laptop stays cool with the fan, and I’ve got your back. SGCAM_20231206_065323878~4.mp4
In the system manager, locate the device and capture a photo to check for that annoying driver. Temperatures aren’t a big concern and don’t really matter much because the CPU will slow down if it gets too hot. It won’t be an issue until it hits over 105°C, then you’d only need to worry if the temperature stays high. Unless you adjust the threshold setting, it should stay normal.
I removed all thermal drivers, even the ACPI thermal zone, but the 8 watts only lasts a few seconds. Dude! The issue came from exceeding the core power limit. When I tried to play Roblox, checking hwinfo showed the maximum cores package power almost reaching 10 watts, which is its maximum DPDT. Now I’m not sure how to fix it.
I'm about to call in the dev from Throttlestop at UncleWebb because he’s an expert on laptop throttling. You seem to be looking for more speed for gaming, maybe you should consider a budget PC under $100 or upgrade your office machine with a cheaper GPU. Those older parts are actually slower than my E8400 at full speed, and running it at 4.3GHz makes it about twice as slow compared to 3GHz.
Nah I'm fine with my current laptop. But is there any way to remove that sh*t limit? Its so annoying dude, just let my laptop goes to its maximum potential of power.
