Hey Ryan and Reece, I changed the voltage override Vcore override voltage in UEFI to 1.150. I must admit, it was a bit reckless and I’m not very experienced. I guess this is why the HW monitor always shows 1.151 as the "VID" for the Intel i7-5960x. During some stress tests, I checked the temperatures of each CPU and package, and they stayed under 73°C. Although I had to manually switch my CPU liquid cooler (Kraken X61) to performance mode, keeping it at 75% power all the time.

I wanted to ensure I get enough cooling during this test, since in Quite mode I expected an 8-degree difference compared to stress mode at 4.0 GHz. I set it to Automated 4.0Ghz with XMP at 2400, maybe that’s a better setting right now?

Thanks for your quick responses. Sorry if this goes too far, but I hope it helps other beginners in the future.

Even in quiet mode 81C still works fine for Haswell-E
I’d like it better with a kraken, but a slight voltage increase and lower fan speeds don’t surprise me.
The package has the hottest core – looks great.
Rendering, gaming, and working are all good!
