Some Intel B660 boards might need a BIOS upgrade before using Raptor Lake CPUs. Changing the BIOS could require a different processor that works with older BIOS versions. Motherboards for 13th gen Intel are not included by default.

It's likely some of the z790 boards come with 13th generation support right away, though updating the BIOS isn't overly complicated and doesn't strictly require out-of-box support.

If the boards are older, I'm skeptical, but those released after Raptor Lake would likely be 13th gen. Bios updates aren't too complicated, so I wouldn't suggest buying just because it's 13th gen or not.

To update the Asus TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS WIFI D4, you would check the manufacturer's website for the latest firmware or software updates. Ensure your device is connected to a stable network and follow any on-screen instructions provided during the update process.

Certainly, you can locate the information by visiting Asus's website for that board and downloading the manual.

The 700 series chipset isn't necessarily the best match for 13th gen As. While 600 series boards might work with a BIOS update, you should confirm with your motherboard manufacturer. If your board includes q-flash or similar features, it's fine. Otherwise, you'll need to install a BIOS update on the CPU.
