You're considering a Ryzen 5 3600 for your gaming and video editing rig alongside an RTX 2060. For this setup, the Ryzen 5 3600 offers solid performance but may feel a bit limited compared to higher-end options like the i3 or i5-12th Gen. If you need more power for demanding tasks, the i3 or i5 models would provide better value and future-proofing.

Unless the price tag drops significantly, I’d opt for the 12400F. The i3 works well in games like the 3600, but its four-core design makes it less suitable for video editing, which is why I wouldn’t choose it.

If you have a bit more funds, look into the 12400f.

Except for a potential huge discount, the 12100 and 12400 models offer 110% improvement over the Ryzen.

The Ryzen 5 5600 has dropped in value recently, so comparing it to the 3600 isn’t entirely accurate since they’re now priced similarly. Still, the latest Intel 12th-gen chips offer an edge, and the Intel Core i5 12400F matches up well against the Ryzen 5 5600, with the latter slightly outperforming it.
