Integrating Bluetooth onto a desktop setup
Integrating Bluetooth onto a desktop setup
I'm seeking a way to connect Bluetooth to my desktop. It's been a couple of years since I installed one, and I didn't opt for a motherboard with built-in Bluetooth because it was too expensive. I used an Avantree USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, but the signal range is limited and the sound quality is poor. While wireless audio isn't perfect, my phone and iPad deliver much better results than the dongle. Are there other options anyone suggests? I want something reliable for several years before considering a full upgrade.
The connectors should work properly unless you need to transmit over long distances. There shouldn’t be any problems on the same surface. You might want to use a higher-quality adapter, or check if your motherboard includes Wi-Fi or a compatible port. Which model are you using?
It wouldn't work without a small PCI-e port and a mounting spot for antennas, similar to ITX or Wi-Fi boards. You can find an open box PCI-e wireless + Bluetooth adapter from ASUS here: https://www.newegg.com/asus-pce-ac55bt-b...833320333R. This model has performed well before.
On Amazon, a compatible Bluetooth adapter is available at: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Bluetoot...007&sr=8-9
