DirectX12 aims to unify gaming experiences across PC and Xbox platforms. Opinions vary on whether it’s beneficial or problematic, depending on factors like performance improvements, cross-platform compatibility, and developer support.

They achieve 30 frames per second while we maintain 144 FPS; sometimes it drops to 60.

It'll be fun to roflstomp consolefags in FPS titles. On a more serious point, I think it’s not too bad. The main problem is that console players will get a lot of lag with the controller in FPS games. But the biggest concern for me is <15 year old squeakers who say they’ve messed up everyone else's mum.

No, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Context matters.

It's problematic since console gamers face significant challenges. I've experimented with both keyboards and mice, but using them in FPS games feels much more effective after getting comfortable.

They chose my old PS3 and connected their keyboard and mouse, which worked perfectly. Most say the controller performs better in FPS, but this might not change that. They’re confident they’d stick with Xbox-only options.
