If you limit the fans to 40% speed, they won’t reach 1000 RPM and should function properly.

If the speed is around 1200 RPM, adjusting it to 80% would give about 960 RPM. You often define multiple settings like 20% at 30°C/40% at 40°C, typically using 4 or 5 values with the highest being the maximum.

you have five artic p12 fans. for optimal performance and cooling, aim for their RPM range—generally between 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. keep them at around 60-70% speed to maintain stability while preventing overheating. this setup should work well with your rx 6800 xt and ryzen cpu paired with a dark rock pro 4 cooler.

I also picked the Gigabyte Aorus B550 PRO V2 motherboard. It covers all my requirements—plenty of USB ports, and since it's not the V2 version, it’s likely a TIER S slot too. The six 4-pin headers are exactly what I was looking for.

It relies on the fans' actions, their positions, and other factors. As I previously said, you can adjust each splitter to a unique area and use different fan curves for each one. Experimenting is key to finding the best setup for your needs.

I’ll have three at the front, one in the back, and another in the top as well. For the Corsair 4000d airflow case, I expect cooling will work just fine if I experiment with it. Thanks a lot for your assistance, man!

I wouldn't pick a motherboard with fan headers; using hubs or splitters is more effective for meeting your requirements. Opt for the motherboard based on additional features you require, such as Wi-Fi, M.2, USB-C, and other considerations.

the fan ports are fortunate they have 6, the motherboard offers many usb connections (which I really need), and it's a TIER S model. the vrms should match tier levels, and all other features seem fine. i'm using an x370 mbo, so this will be a solid upgrade.

I'd opt for one fan splitter in the top and rear areas since they're handling similar tasks—mainly expelling air from the case. It usually doesn't need extreme power, so probably around 30-50% maximum, though it varies by case.
