I searched the forum without any chance to find an ISO file that appears safe. My older laptop needs Windows XP for several reasons, but Linux isn’t compatible. It’s been tough to locate a legitimate Windows XP download that I can activate with my key. Any suggestions for where to find a usable source would be greatly helpful since this machine is too outdated for 7.

Consider obtaining a Dell OEM XP disc and continue from there. These discs are usually pre-activated.

Windows XP remains accessible for download from MSDN (my.visualstudio.com). You might also purchase a physical copy on eBay. In reality, I don’t usually endorse this option; installing Linux on your laptop would be a more practical choice. The capabilities you can achieve with XP are limited compared to what’s available on Linux today.
