Installing win10
Installing win10
Yes im wating for xspc raystorm to go with my razor. I just wanted to get win10 installed and test myb2nd hand parts.
You attempted to boot the system without a CPU cooler at all. 91°C usually triggers thermal throttling. Exceeding that causes the system to activate overheat protection and shut down. Installing the CPU waterblock can help, as it provides significant thermal mass. Once the waterblock is in place, you might manage with the operating system since it acts like a large heat sink. If you haven’t used air cooling before, a custom water cooler could be a good alternative. A standard cooler should suffice for this situation.
The CPU was completely bare. The cooler hasn’t arrived yet. I assumed it wouldn’t affect starting Windows. Did I damage the processor?
ok so best not to install win till i get the water cooling installed. My last i7 pc wasnt as delicate but ya live n learn. Its a desk build with parts coming from around the world so its complicated and i wanted to get something done while i wait for the parts. more haste less speed.
Consider delaying the installation until the water cooling system is in place. My previous i7 setup wasn’t too fragile, but I learned the hard way. It’s a build from various global suppliers, making it complex. I preferred to move quickly but prioritize stability.
