Hey! Installing Steam OS on your second HDD shouldn't erase your Windows data on the primary HDD. Just make sure you back up important files before proceeding.

Turn off your Windows storage just in case, though you're unlikely to need to delete it accidentally.

No, Steam OS typically handles multiple drives. It doesn't just erase one hard drive at a time.

Steam OS may wipe the installation you're making, so be sure to back it up. Disconnect the other drive during SOS setup, then reconnect it afterward.
